Turtle Softie
I am attempting to make each one of my kids a handmade Christmas present this year...with four kids I thought it would be a good idea to get started early. Plus these are just so cute I was excited to make it.
I originally found these over at Ashley's www.makeit-loveit.com ...aren't hers adorable?! She includes a great tutorial and pattern pieces that can be printed from home. I added a ribbon loop on the side of mine to attach teething rings or whatever toy suits his fancy. I also used minky fabric and it worked just fine.
One handmade Christmas present for baby boy-check...three more to go.

Cheesecake Stuffed Strawberries
My kids and I saw these the other day, they looked soooo yummy we had to give them a try. They are...Delicious! My husband and I don't normally like cream cheese but we both loved these, something about mixing a tart strawberry with sweetened cream cheese makes it yummy.
My kids loved them too and even liked helping me make them.
We changed the recipe a little, I added more powdered sugar and used Nutella for the topping...never a bad idea to add some Nutella...yep you know what I'm talkin about! (if you don't you must try it)
These really don't take that long we whipped them out pretty quickly.
RECIPE
1 lb Strawberries
8 oz cream cheese
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1 tsp vanilla
Nutella or chocolate chips
Hollow out and trim tip off strawberries. Mix together cream cheese, powdered sugar and vanilla. Spoon into strawberries or if you want them to be pretty pipe onto stawberries like you would with frosting. Drizzle Nutella or melted chocolate chips over top, we put ours in a Ziploc baggie and cut the corner off.
In case you were confused about the hollowing out bit.
Trim tip off bottom so they stand up on their own

DIY Princess Game Board
PRINCESS POLLYANNA
My sister and I came up with the idea of princess pollyanna while chatting on the phone one day...two years later I made it happen. It is a game we played at my Grandparent's house when we were kids, it has become a tradition.
In the game all the little men are trying to make their way home, we thought a castle in the clouds would be perfect.
This is a great game for kids...they learn colors, counting, strategy, teamwork and for some patience(Dad).
I found these little wooden pieces at porters and painted them with acryllic paint.
Cinderella
Ariel
Sleeping Beauty
Belle
I found a cheap game board at DI and glued mine right over the top worked like a charm.
Now we can have our own game to play whenever we want and continue on with the tradition. This post is dedicated to my Grandpa who made his way home to our Heavenly Father not to long ago.
Love You Grandpa!
