Little Boy Velcro Ties Tutorial

I decided my little boy needed some ties to match his little brother who will be wearing these onesie ties.  I prefer the ties that velcro around the neck cause for one I don't know how to tie a tie and my two year old does not like to sit still.

Diy Heat Pad and Hand Warmers

My kids and I put these together over the weekend, we started with the heart hand warmers for my little school girl to keep in her pockets on those cold winter mornings.  And I must have football on the  brain after watching two games with my husband so I put together a heat pad for my little boy to take to bed with him.  My girls have some made out of fabric that they take to bed every night.

Written Tutorial
These are pretty self explantory and were really easy to put together, make a heart and football shape pattern on paper.  Cut four heart shapes and two football shapes, for the football you will need white markings.  Zigzag stitch your markings on to the football and zigzag your two football pieces together leaving an opening to add rice, add the rice with a funnel and zigzag the hole shut.  The hearts are done the same way except I used a straight stitch.

Diy Appliqued Onesies

I made these as a gift to go along with the burp cloths for my nephew and they were really fast and easy, I think they're stinkin cute.

I think the bright stripes ended up being my favorite they are really eye catching.

All packaged up and ready to be gifted

I used this tutorial to make these, it was very easy to follow.  I did end up trimming down the template just a little for my teensy size 3-6mos. onseies.

DIY Electronics Protective Case

My little girl is turning seven today... CRAZY!  I can't believe she is already this old, it almost makes me cry if I think about it to much.  Anyway she has been begging and begging for either a Leap Frog Leap Pad or the new InnoTab by Vtech.  We finally decided to get the innotab and after spending that much on something I thought it better have some sort of protective case.

She is big into Hello Kitty right now.

It is exactly what I was after, slides right in and velcro's shut.

Unlike the tutorial I added a pocket on the back for extra games and cords.

I used Ahsley's tutorial over at make it and love it,  you can find it here.

Diy Easy Burp Cloths

I have been trying to come up with a gift to give to a nephew that will be arriving soon and thought these would be perfect for a first time Mom.  I might even make some more for my baby because they went together so fast and they seem really absorbent (much needed for my babies).

I think they turned out pretty cute and were very inexpensive to make.

Ribbons and Frames Decor. Idea

I have been looking at a blank wall for a long time now with the intention of doing this and finally got it done.  I had the frames on hand and spray painted them off white, got a cheapo curtain rod from family dollar and ribbon from Wal Mart for cheap so it was a really inexpensive way to fill up the wall.
(I attached the ribbon to the frames with staples)

I am busy packing away Christmas but will be back soon with lots of fun projects.
